Tough On The Road? (Well Not Always) - Barbados 2010 Report

The Armour Training Academy’s ‘any time, any place’ attitude to international training means that guys like Neil Walton, who leads Armour’s International Training Team, can relate apocalyptic tales of epic journeys to the four corners of the globe. These stories always seem to include episodes where our hero spends nights in faraway airports and/or railway stations, eating unidentifiable foreign foods and in freezing or boiling temperatures. Needless to say, they all conclude with Neil overcoming both the elements and local language difficulties to successfully train the inhabitants of these far off lands in the intricacies, features and benefits of Systemline Modular.

Therefore, when Neil announced he was leaving for the airport to undertake another arduous international training mission, he caused a ripple of surprise through the office because he was observed carrying, not his usual Arctic survival kit but instead, a snorkel and a pair of flippers!

And no wonder, because Neil’s destination was no less than the Caribbean island paradise of Barbados.

On this occasion, Neil was supporting ‘Hi-Tech Home’ the Systemline distributor in Barbados,

by conducting three commercial and technical training workshops at different venues across the island.  He reports all three went very well and the attendees from the companies involved (JE Security, Group 4 Security and Key System Solutions) were of a high standard, eager to learn how to specify and install Systemline and quickly understood its potential in their market.
According to Neil, the whole trip was hard work but very successful and incident free. He explains away his deep suntan by saying it must have resulted from his morning jogging sessions on the beach!
